CLINTON — On Tuesday, the Wapella Village Board voted to amend its ordinance that governs village employees’ wages.
The amendment sets starting pay for new employees at $10 per hour after a probationary period. Pay increases will be based on individual employee performance.
Anniversary dates will be adjusted to coincide with the village’s fiscal year, which begins July 1. Merit increases will be effective at that time.
Overtime pay will be calculated at 1.5 times the regular pay rate after 40 hours in a seven-day period. Workweeks will run from Monday through Sunday. For the complete article see the 09-21-2012 issue.
