CLINTON — In early 2013, Clinton TIF II district, commonly known as the “downtown TIF,” will expire. Because some buildings within the TIF could still benefit from the financial incentives offered by the district, the city is looking at ways to continue incentives after the TIF expires.
“It was prudent that we look at ways to keep incentives downtown because we still have a considerable amount of blight,” the city’s Tim Followell recently told the city council.
