CLINTON — The DeWitt County Board voted recently to pay $7,860 to the Scanics company to settle the balance of a $100,000 contract with the firm. Scanics was hired by the former circuit clerk to scan documents in her office’s archive.
Current circuit clerk Pam Barnes asked the board to loan her office the money to settle the balance owed on the contract, which was at least 100 days past due. Barnes’ office will repay the county from its court document storage fund over a series of months. For the complete article see the 01-04-2013 issue.
