CLINTON — The county board could be in an uncomfortable spot after advertising to solicit consultants, while already undertaking to work with one.
During Thursday’s board meeting, members began discussion to schedule times to hear presentations from three consulting firms interested in performing work for the Clinton Lake marina. Firms responded to advertising the board placed asking for interest in consulting on work planned for the marina. The notice appeared in the Clinton Journal and was also uploaded to the Illinois Press Association Web site.
