CLINTON — Attorney for Clinton Landfill Brian McGinnis addressed the county board Thursday about the dismissal of a complaint filed against the company. McGinnis said the dismissal now ends the issues raised by the complaint.
On September 19, the Illinois Pollution Control Board (IPCB) dismissed a four-count complaint against Clinton Landfill. The Mahomet Valley Water Authority and several central Illinois communities filed the complaint alleging the landfill violated the Pollution Control Act by storing hazardous materials in its chemical waste unit.
