When the downtown Clinton square
underwent a landscaping renovation
many years ago, the city had to drop a
plan to provide a cover over the outdoor stage area because funds ran short. But now, thanks to revenue generated by the TIF 4 district, that plan is again active, and officials are working toward completing the project by MayDays.
Dave Burnison, of The Farnsworth Group, the city’s Tim Followell, mayor Carolyn Peters and Patrick Peterson, who works under the Three Ravens Graphics name, worked together to develop a design that includes not only a stage canopy but also seasonal sunshade for guests of performances and for vendors.
“We are excited for this to come to fruition,” said mayor Peters.
Burnison gave city council members a survey of the plan during Monday’s city council meeting. For the complete article see the 10-11-2013 issue.
