CHS Lady Maroons’ softball still on track

CLINTON -- The Clinton Lady Maroons are still on track with a great season. 
With an 11-0 win over the Central A&M Raiders late in the regular season, the Lady Maroons became CIC co-champions, and in that final game Alexis Estes threw a record 14 strikeouts.

CLINTON -- On Monday, the Clinton Maroons began regional play at home, battling the Urbana Tigers. 
This was a closely matched game, as the final score would attest.  Both pitchers were strong as each held their opposing teams scoreless through five innings.

ST. LOUIS -- Playing professional baseball is an honor bestowed upon less than 1 percent of all high school players, and an even smaller number of those elite few will make it onto an MLB roster.

CLINTON -- The past couple of weeks have been exciting for Clinton High School (CHS).  The letters-of-intent are becoming numerous nearing the school year's end. 
There have been several seniors signing with colleges and universities to continue their athletics as well as academic work beyond high school.

SHELBYVILLE -- After beating the Shelbyville Rams the first time, the Maroons' junior varsity felt good going into their May second outing against the same team. 
The first game ended with the Maroons winning 3-0; this game started with the home team up by three runs in the first inning.

Kaitlin Hayden signs with McKendree University

CLINTON -- On Tuesday, April 19, Clinton Lady Maroons track and field senior Kaitlin Hayden made the official announcement of her intent to advance her track and field athleticism to the next level. 
Kaitlin, the daughter of Jane and John Hayden, signed her letter of intent to join the McKendree  Bearcats track and field program under the direction of head coach Michael Mendez.  Kaitlin said
