CLINTON — Despite racking up 240 yards rushing against a solid St. Teresa defense, the Clinton Maroons were dealt another loss Friday night in the annual Homecoming game in a key inter-conerence division matchup.
Clinton busted through the opening gates, getting a huge lift from return specialist Greg Osgood, who brought the ball 43 yards up the field to start the first drive of the game. The Maroons pushed the ball down the field, but failed to score on the drive after fumbling on the one yard line with 9:03 left in the first quarter.
The Maroons, did, however strike first after holding down the Bulldogs’ offense, finally putting one in the end zone on a 19-yard run by running back Kye Reczek with 5:58 left in the first.
St. Teresa would answer, however, scoring a mere 37 seconds later on a 33-yard run by quarterback Tim Lawless. For the complete article see the 10-09-2012 issue.
