CLINTON ó Sophomore Megan Tool scored 10 of her game high 14 points in the second quarter to help the Clinton Lady Maroons basketball team defeat Tolono Unity,56-22, at Clinton, Monday night.
The game began at a slow pace and was only 7-5 in favor of the Maroons at the end of the first quarter, but Tool made a layup off of an assist from Junior point guard Haley Toohill from the right elbow at 3:02 left in the first half giving the home team a 22-10 lead, and the rout was on. Clinton would outscore Unity 34-12 the rest of the way to win itís seventh conference win against no losses, good enough for a first place tie with Central A&M.
