SPRINGFIELD - Donald Eugene Burris, 56, Springfield, Ill., passed away at 11:49 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Ill. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Ill. with James McMillion officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Memorials may be made to the Donald Burris Memorial Fund.

Donald was born on Dec. 26, 1953 in Clinton, Ill., the son of John Carl and Ruth Watkins Burris.

He is survived by three daughters: Stacy Burris of Deweyville, Tex.; Shelby Wedgeworth of Anacoco; LA; Samantha Burris of Houston, Tex.; five grandchildren: Jacob, Jessee, Cameron, Colby & Cali; two sisters: Carla Karr of Wapella, Ill. & Kelly Burris of Clinton, Ill.; one brother: John Burris of Springfield, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald was a plumber for Allied of Springfield.
