CLINTON – Nellie Jean Cusey, age 82, of Wapella, Ill. passed away at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton at 5:54 p.m. July 25, 2010.

Friends may call at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday July 28. Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Calvert Funeral Home. Pastor Richard Gray will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton.

Jean was born in Wapella, Ill. on June 7, 1928, a daughter of Joohn J. Leggett and Iva Mae Stone. She married Exley E. Cusey on February 21, 1952 in Bloomington, Ill. He passed away on January 21, 1997.

Surviving are three sons: Wesley Cusey, of Wapella; Curtis Cusey, of Bel Air, MD; Eldon (Michelle) Cusey, of Wapella, one grandson: Vincent Cusey, of Wapella, one brother: Vernon Leggett, of Texas; two sisters: June Karr, of Wapella; Jane Thorp, of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter: Amy.

She was affiliated with Wapella United Methodist Church.
