Ronald Edward Ipsen

CLINTON — Ronald Edward Ipsen, 74, of Clinton, passed away at 8:33 a.m. on June 18, 2012 at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Christ Lutheran Church, Clinton, pastor Joel Dietrich officiating. Interment will be at Atlanta Cemetery, Atlanta, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church preschool or Clinton Kiwanis Club.

Ronald was born on January 15, 1938 in Cook County, Ill., son of Elmer Ipsen and Esther Holmes. He married Bonnie J. Britsch on June 2, 1962 in Lincoln, Ill. She passed away on March 11, 2008.

Survivors include a daughter Karen L. Duran ( Ed), Normal, Ill., and a son Bill E. Ipsen (Priya), Champaign, Ill.

His parents preceded him in death.

Ronald was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Clinton. He was a retired instructor with GTE, a member of the Clinton Kiwanis Club and the Illinois Valley Blacksmith Association. He was also a board member of the DeWitt County Museum.
