CLINTON — Harriet A. Lentz, 89, of Clinton, passed away at 10 a.m. on July 24, 2012 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Peoria, Ill.
A visitation will not be held, Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 27, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, Fr. Sebastian Tumusiime officiating. Interment will be at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton.
Harriet was born on July 19, 1923 in Clinton, daughter of Harrison L. Hall and Margaret Mary (Burns) Hall. She married Charles E. Lentz on February 21, 1945, in Clinton. He passed away on January 4, 1999.
Surviving are children Patricia (Roger) Wolfe, Bloomington, Ill., and Vincent Lentz, Clinton; son-in-law Steve Best, Clinton; and six grandchildren Kim (Chip) Atten, Clinton; Margaret (Jay) Marchand, Edelstein, Ill.; Mary Colvin, Peoria, Ill.; Charles Lentz, Decatur, Ill.; Dillon Lentz, Clinton, Logan Lentz, Clinton, and seven great- grandchildren.
A daughter Catherine Best and one sister Helen Burris preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Clinton, and she was very devoted to her faith. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Harriett was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
