CLINTON — Larry D. Jackson, 74, of Clinton, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on September 26, 2012 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Ill.
Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Calvert’s, J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Interment will be at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, with military honors.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Larry was born on October 7, 1937 in Farmer City, Ill. son of William Charles Jackson and Dorothy Reynolds. He married Charolette Marie Day on June 19, 1958 in Clinton. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons Jim (Lindy) Jackson, Clinton, and Geno Jackson, Clinton; and brothers and sisters Jerry Reynolds, Clinton; Nancy Gregory, Clinton; Jean Pierson, LaGrange, Ind.; Scott Ramsey, LaGrange, Ind., and Brenda Lewis, Michigan.
His parents, one granddaughter, father-in-law and mother-in-law preceded him in death.
Larry was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Clinton VFW Post 20, 20-year president of the DeWitt County Sportsman Club and a former member of the DeWitt County Riding Club. He was a retired sheet metal maintenance worker at Eureka-William, Bloomington.
