DEWITT, Ill. — Harrold D. Reynolds, 84, of DeWitt, Ill., passed away at 11 a.m. on January 20, 2013 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Calvert’s, Rev. Benjamin Keller and Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Presbyterian Church.
Harrold was born on March 28, 1928 near Wapella, Ill., son of Mike Reynolds and Lois (McIntyre) Reynolds. He never married.
Survivors include a sister Dorothy Kuntz, Clinton; brothers Donald (Jean) Reynolds, and John W. (Beverly) Reynolds, both of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one sister Ruth and a nephew Terry Reynolds preceded him in death.
Harrold was a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church. He served as a U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. in the Korean conflict. Harrold graduated from Clinton High School in 1946. He as an active member of the FFA, 4-H club leader and scoutmaster of Troop 144. He retired from the Decatur Firestone plant, where he was a firefighter/EMT for 22 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 55, in Farmer City, the DeWitt County Farm Bureau, Decatur Country Club, National Rifle Association, National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, Champaign County Rifle Association and the Marine Corps League. He enjoyed all outdoor sports and will be missed by family and many friends.
