Joseph C. Johnson

OCALA, Fla. — Joseph C. Johnson passed away on March 4, 2013 in Ocala, Fla.  He was born on August 25, 1919 in Clinton, Ill., the son of Marion Johnson and Anita (Jeffrey) Johnson.  He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Illinois and Alaska, and when he was discharged in 1945, he went to work for the Illinois Central Railroad in Clinton, where he worked until he retired in 1981 and moved to Ocala, Fla.

He is survived by his son, Joseph M. Johnson of Gettysburg, Pa, step-grandnieces Lesli Poole and Christina Russell of Ocala, and step-son Terry Anderson, of Seattle,Wash.  Both of his wives Helen Johnson and Margaret Johnson preceded him in death.

There will be an interrment service at Memorial Cemetery in Clinton on  Thursday, March 14 at 11 a.m.
