WELDON — Adam J. Schlesinger, 35, of Weldon, Ill., passed away at 6:45 p.m. on May 31, 2013 at his family residence.
A visitation was held on Monday at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, today, at the United Methodist Church, Clinton, J. Kent Hickerson and Rev. Stephen Killion officiating. Interment will be at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon.
Memorials may be made to a memorial fund for his children Destiny and Aiden Schlesinger.
Adam was born on May 6, 1978 in Mendota, Ill., son of Donald Schlesinger and Suzan Baker. He married Sara Alwood on July 28, 2001 in Clinton.
Survivors include beloved friend Sheila Russell, his parents Donald and Suzan Schlesinger, Clinton; daughter Destiny Kay Schlesinger; son Aiden Jay Schlesinger; sister Amanda (Dan) Reynolds, Naperville, Ill.; nephew Noah Reynolds; Devin Hauser, Elk Grove, Ill., who was like a sister.
Also surviving are aunts and uncles Jim (Jan) Harrold, Sue (Duane) Yost, Bill Schlesinger, Jack (Lori) Schlesinger, Ed (Lisa) Schlesinger, and many cousins.
His maternal grandparents Lee and Charlene Baker, and paternal grandparents Babe and Kay Schlesinger preceded him in death.
Adam graduated from Clinton High School in 1996 and from U.T.I. in 1997. He was employed by Maxwell Counters, Farmer City, Ill. and farmed the family farm full time this year. He was a loving son, brother and a great dad.
