CLINTON — Jack E. Chick, 77, of Clinton, Ill., passed away at 7:03 p.m. on December 25, 2013 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, Ill.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, January 2 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Calvert’s, J. Kent Hickerson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Clinton, Eagles Lodge, Clinton, or Disabled Veterans.
Jack was born on August 16, 1936 in Clinton, son of Paul Chick and Iola Westray. He married Doris Ann Young on July 12, 1958 in Clinton. She passed away on December 20, 2009.
Survivors include two sons Jack (Demi) Chick, Jr., Davenport, Iowa, and Kelly (Dana Coon) Chick, Argenta, Ill.; brother Ron Chick, Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
His parents and one brother Larry, in infancy, preceded him in death.
Jack was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton. He was a U.S. Army veteran and graduated from Western Illinois University, Macomb. He was a 30-year veteran of law enforcement. Jack was a family man; he loved and cherished spending time with them. HE was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.
