Kim Edward Green

NORMAL – Kim Edward Green, age 68, of Normal, Ill., formerly of Waynesville, Ill. passed away at 10:18 a.m. July 15, 2010 at his family residence in Normal, Ill.
A visitation took place from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Masonic Rites were at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at Calvert Funeral Home. Services took place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Calvert Funeral Home.
Kim Edward was born in Champaign, Ill. on April 3, 1942, a son of Lonnie Green and Alma Grace Scott Green. He married Sharon McClain on November 20, 1965 in Decatur, Ill.
Survivors include wife: Sharon Green, of almost 45 years; daughter: Natalie McCartney, of Normal, Ill.; son: Scott Green, of Raleigh, N.C.; two granddaughters: Makayla & Kaitlyn McCartney; two grandsons: Samuel & Oscar Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Karen Furman and two brothers: Marvin Kent Green & Karol Rex Green.
Grandfather of four.
Kim was a life long member of Waynesville United Methodist Church serving his Lord as Teacher, Layspeaker and Board Member before moving to Normal. He and his family resided on the family farm in Waynesville for 26 years before moving to Normal. He was a member of the DeWitt County Farm Bureau, 4-H Leader, Masonic Lodge #84 A.F. & A.M. and the Bloomington Consistory. Kim also was a Little League Coach. Kim continued his love of farming for others as his health permitted.
