‘Welcome to Big Rock’

CLINTON — Melanie Cheatham and cast members are currently hard at work rehearsing this year’s dinner theater, hosted by the DeWitt County Restoration Association (DCRA).

Welcome to Big Rock chronicles the story about what happens when television producers invite a community to be part of a reality tv program.

“This creates several funny situations,” Cheatham said. “And, we sides of people we wouldn’t normally see.”

This will be DCRA’s fourth dinner theater with performances November 2, 3 and 4. Money raised through ticket sales helps with cost of the Magill House restoration project.

Cheatham has written all four of the plays the group has staged, although she originally had plans to take a break from writing after the 2011 show.
