CLINTON — Much attention is given these days to illegal immigration. Often, though, people around us, maybe even someone we know, follows the long process to become a legal citizen, but we may never know about it.
Clinton resident Kim Fields was one of 65 Illinois residents who took the oath of allegiance recently to become a U.S. citizen. The ceremony took place at the old state capital, in Springfield.
