CLINTON — Syngenta, an internation seed producer, broke ground this week on a $12 million expansion of its Clinton facility. Clinton will be the company’s largest North American site for testing corn and soybean seed.
Local government officials, civic and agricultural representatives and Syngenta employees participated in Tuesday’s groundbreaking.
Ramtin Ahmadi, North American lead for research and development business practice said the enhanced research and development capability coming to Clinton was part of Syngenta’s innovation work in corn and soybean breeding.
