Lady Maroons overcome ‘back to school blues,’ smash Tri-Valley

CLINTON — On the first day back from Christmas break, the Clinton Lady Maroons basketball team got through a sluggish first quarter start and got 16 points from Sophomore Jessica Scott and 14 points from Junior point guard Haley Toohill to help down the Tri-Valley Lady Vikings,55-29, at Clinton. Sophomore Megan Tool also tallied 10 for Clinton.

The Maroons seemed to still be on Christmas break and lacked energy early but were kept afloat by Megan Tool’s 8 first quarter points, giving the Maroons a 13-8 lead after one quarter of play.
