SPRINGFIELD — State Representative Bill Mitchell (R-Forsyth) has been named an Assistant Republican Leader for the Illinois House of Representatives.
Mitchell was appointed to the position on Wednesday by House Republican Leader Tom Cross (R-Oswego).
“Bill Mitchell has been a strong voice for downstate Illinois,” Cross said. “Bill is an advocate for the things that are important to his region of the state. He is going to provide a perspective that is much needed in this General Assembly. I am confident he will serve the people well in his new leadership position.”
