CLINTON — Although Dr. John Warner Hospital is still operating at a loss, the difference compared to the previous fiscal year continues to widen.
Eight months into the fiscal year, the hospital reported a loss of $20,717, said financial manager Donna Wisner. But, at the same point in the previous fiscal year, the hospital reported a loss of about $805,000.
In November, the hospital had net revenue of $64,564. The hospital also realized about $23,000 in additional revenue from sale of miscellaneous equipment and supplies from an ambulance that it sold to the new private ambulance service.
In December, the hospital had net revenue of $37,290. The majority of the difference was the result of “a decrease of expenses between the two years of about $538,000,” Wisner said. For the complete article see the 02-01-2013 issue.
