Lady Maroons defuse Bombers

CLINTON — The Clinton Lady Maroons got double figure scoring from four girls, showed a strong early defensive  effort on 2012 all-conference performer Kandie Bloch  and relentless pursuit of the basketball on their way to a 70-50, Okaw Valley Conference victory over Argenta- Oreana, at Clinton, Monday night.

Coming off of a disappointing loss at Central A&M last Thursday in the Okaw Valley Conference Tournament championship game, Lady Maroons head Coach Josh Williams thought his kids did a good job defending the tremendously athletic Bloch, who would score 33 in the game but only 8 in the first half, while the game was still in the balance.
