CLINTON — The county board voted Thursday to reestablish a position in the circuit clerk’s office to fill a vacancy. The office will hire someone to fill an open spot for child support clerk.
Under county ordinance, job descriptions must be formally recreated when filling vacancies. A second job, for civil clerk, will be recreated later, when that position is expected to become vacant.
“I have two employees; one has already left and the other one was anticipating leaving, circuit clerk Pam Barnes told board members. “And, as a courtesy, I would like to add that there has been a part time employee that has been employed there off and on and would like for her to come back. She would be able to work a day and a half a week.”
The part time employee would help with document scanning, shredding and other duties.
