BLOOMINGTON — Opal E. Wilson, 85, of Luther Oaks, Bloomington, Ill., passed away at 1:45 a.m. on February 14, 2013 at LeRoy Manor.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Calvert’s, Rev. Keith Ferguson and Rev. Burt McIntosh officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Opal was born on January 19, 1928 in Decatur, Ill., daughter of John Nelson Clary and Alice (Webb) Clary. She married Glenn Wilson on August 27, 1946 in Clinton. He survives.
Survivors also include children Steve Glenn (Kathy) Wilson, Wapella, and Gary D. (Susan) Wilson, Bloomington; brothers and sisters Dorothy Jean Hetrick, Chambersburg, Pa.; John Clary, Jr., Webster, Texas; half sister Janice Carter, E. Peoria; half brother Lyle Clary, Decatur; five grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren.
Her parents, and a half brother Steve Clary preceded her in death.
Opal was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington. She played the organ for Calvert Funeral Home for several years. She was a member of he Eastern Star, the Home Extension and volunteered at Brokaw Hospital, Normal.
