CLINTON — Alice Virginia Moit, 82, of Clinton, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on February 20, 2013 at Manor Court, Clinton.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Calvert’s, J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Interment will be at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Alice was born on October 29, 1930 in Maroa, daughter of Albert Lynn Austin and Clara Louise (Wikoff). She married Richard Cooper, with whom she had a son Jeffrey Lynn Cooper and a daughter Sue Ann Cooper Sommers. Alice later married Earl Dean Moit.
Survivors include son Jeffrey L. Cooper, Niles, Ohio; step- sons Robert Moit, Pontiac, Ill., and Monti (Marty) Moit, Bloomington, Ill.; step- daughter-in-law Sara Moit, Oak Harbor, Wash.; grandsons Brently Alan Cooper and Charles Michael Cooper; granddaughters Kathryn Louise Cooper and Jana Sommers Trampy, and great- grandchildren; brother Larry (Julie) Austin, Clinton, Ill.; sister-in-law Lorita Austin, Decatur, Ill.; nieces Sherry (Gregg) Weikle, Forsyth, Ill., and Kathy (Bob) Darling, Becker, Minn.; great- nephews Andrew and Derek Weikle and Mathew (Annie) Darling; great- great- nieces Brynn Kelly Darling and Cailin Marie Darling.
Her parents, daughter Sue Ann Sommers, brother Robert Austin, husband Earl Dean Moit, granddaughter Angela Sommers, step- son Jack Moit and step- daughter Janet Moit preceded her in death.
Alice was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton. She was retired from the dental office of Dr. Thomas Larkin. She was a member of the Myrtle Chapter Order of Easter Star and the ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
