CLINTON — Clintonia Township Supervisor Tammy Stanton spoke to trustees earlier this week about budgeting for a new roof for the township building.
“Last year, it was discussed whether this building needed a new roof,” Stanton told trustees. “At the time, no money was allocated in the budget for that. I bring this up now because right now there is no money allocated in the budget for a new roof. There is money for repairs.”
Stanton has been told the roof will need to be replaced within the next year because shingles are curling and blowing off.
The building was built in 2001. Trustee Paul Nothnagel asked about the warranty on the shingles. “These should have been at least 20 (years).”
Trustees instructed Stanton to check into the warranty and to get bids for replacing the roof. For the complete article see the 04-19-2013 issue.
