CLINTON — In a game defined by soggy spring conditions, the Clinton Maroons weathered the elements and rode to victory with the help of 12 walks en route to a 14-4 victory over Tuscola on Monday night.
Junior Colten Reeves guided the Maroons to victory with a complete-game pitching effort, allowing four runs on five hits, while striking out two. At the dish, Reeves also helped himself, finishing 3-for-5 with a double, 4 RBI and 2 runs scored.
Heading into the fifth inning, Tuscola managed only three base runners, only one of which came around to score. In the fifth, however, Tuscola plated two runs to take a 3-1 lead. For the complete article see the 04-19-2013 issue.
