Rose E. Baylor

WAPELLA — Rose E. Baylor, 90, of Wapella, Ill., passed away at 6:24 p.m. on May 23, 2013 at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday at the First Christian Church, Clinton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at First Christian Church, J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Interment will be at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Clinton.

Rose was born on August 2, 1922 in Sandoval, Ill., daughter of August Kreitler and Sarah (Nettles) Kreitler. She married John Clifton Baylor in 1941 in St. Louis, Mo. He passed away on June 24, 1986.

Survivors include children Larry (Linda) Baylor, Itasca, Ill.; Jean Hough, Centralia, Ill.; and Roger (Martha) Baylor, Dearborn, Mich.; brother Carl Kreitler, Armington, Ill.; sister Mary Anne Kreitler, Clinton, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.

Her parents, two brothers and two children preceded her in death.

Rose was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton. She worked at Beich’s Candy, Bloomington, Ill. for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family.
