CLINTON — Carl Lawrence Anderson, 88, of Clinton, Ill., passed away at 5:45 a.m. on May 31, 2013 at St, Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, Ill.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Calvert’s, Pastor Mark Yeske officiating. Interment will be at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the Carl L. Anderson memorial fund.
Carl was born on January 2, 1925 in Clinton, son of Robert Lawrence Anderson and Kathryn Anderson. He married Sally Kane in 1945 in Philadelphia, Pa. She passed away in 1970.
Survivors include his beloved friend of 30 years Florence Elizabeth Lane, Clinton; children Regina Scott, of Florida, and Sally Ferguson, of Indiana, sisters Joann Moody, Clinton, and Margerite Tucknott, Chicago, Ill., 11 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
His parents, an infant daughter, daughter Kathy Maricci, sister Alice Lighthall and brother Howard Anderson preceded him in death.
Carl was a WWII, U.S. Navy veteran stationed at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack of 1941. He was a machinist for 35 years at General Electric, in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed fishing.
