The DeWitt County Museum houses so many items,
it’s easy to understand how some might be
forgotten. For Joey Woolridge, who recently joined the museum as co-director, there is much she has never even seen. So, when she discovered a large, metal box closed away in one of the home’s library cupboards, she was excited about its contents.
“Can you imagine being a historical person and being allowed inside this house all day,” Woolridge said. A local historian and Clinton Journal contributor, Woolridge came to the museum after serving for several years as administrative assistant at the Clinton Chamber of Commerce.
