CLINTON — Duane Boyer, 73, will face sentencing on January 6 in the death of a Bloomington woman that occurred January 20, 2013.
Boyer pleaded guilty to reckless homicide, a Class 3 felony that carries a sentence of from two to five years in prison. Two counts of aggravated driving under the influence were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Boyer was driving home at about 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 20 in DeWitt, when he struck the victim Catherine Kohl, 38, according to authorities. She later died at Dr. John Warner Hospital.
