CLINTON — Sharon Joy Shaw, 81, of Clinton, Ill., passed away at 10:45 p.m. on November 2, 2013 at Manor Court.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Calvert’s, J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Interment will be at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the Tyler and Cameron education fund.
Sharon was born on September 2, 1932 in Weldon, Ill. daughter of Charles F. Carr and Edith O’Daffer. She married Cecil Welby Shaw on March 18, 1950 in Piggott, Ark. He passed away on February 8, 2013.
Surviving is daughter Shari (Larry) Haley, Mackinaw, Ill.; four grandchildren Shari (Gage) Irvin, Clinton, Ill.; Nicholas Brinkley, Clinton, Ill.; Courtney Snyder, Clinton, Ill., and Craig Snyder, Orlando, Fla.; two great-grandchilren Tyler Brinkley, Simpson, Ill., and Cameron Snyder, Tampa, Fla.; son-in-law Danny Brinkley, Clinton; brother Bob Carr, Monticello, Ill.; and sisters Annie (Lawrence) Hall, Huntley, Ill.; Dorothy (Bob) Sprague, Maroa, Ill.; Kaye Carr, Clinton, and Carolyn (Mike) Perkins, Clinton.
Her parents, daughter Jackie Brinkley, sisters Jean, Audrey, Helen and Doris, and brothers Dale, Don, Jack, Pete, Bill and Jim preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Clinton First Christian Church. Sharon enjoyed decorating and baking but especially spending time with her family.
