CLINTON — Clinton Power Station returned to full power following the completion of the station’s fourteenth refuel outage.
Operators took the unit offline on Monday, Oct. 7, and ended the outage Wednesday, Oct. 30, after synchronizing to the grid.
Clinton Station was the temporary home to more than 1,900 additional skilled workers many of whom stayed in area hotels and visited local restaurants during the outage.
“The work we did during this refuel improved the plant,” said Keith Taber, site vice president. “We completed a solid plan that sets us up for a safe, reliable operation’s cycle ahead. I appreciate the hard work of our employees and supplemental workers.”
