CLINTON — The Better Government for DeWitt County group on Thursday aimed criticism at the leadership of the DeWitt County Board for comments made during a recent meeting about the Mahomet Aquifer, but the board chairman tried to separate events at that meeting from members of the board.
Better Government president Tom Jackson criticized county board chairman Sherrie Brown for moving the public comment portion of the meeting until after board debate and a vote on a resolution regarding the landfill. Jackson and fellow group member Denise Torbert planned to address the resolution in their comments.
Public comment is generally listed first on board agendas. For the complete article see the 11-15-2013 issue.
