School district kicks off 1 percent tax campaign

CLINTON — Retired Clinton High School Principal Ron Connor officially kicked off the “One Cent Makes Sense for DeWitt County” campaign to educate and encourage voters for a ‘yes’ vote on the one percent sales tax referendum on March 18 ballot.

“Everything in the tax goes for education and that’s almost unheard of,” said Conner who served 18 years at CHS and five years as principal at Blue Ridge High School in Farmer City.
