SPRINGFIELD — Spring is right around the corner, and with it will come the threat of strong storms, high winds and even tornadoes in Illinois.
Experts are using Severe Weather Preparedness Week to educate residents about the types of hazardous weather conditions Illinoisans may face. According to Chris Miller, warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Lincoln, while there may be snow on the ground now, the weather can change in the blink of an eye.
