CLINTON — DeWitt County Republican chairman Dustin Peterson recommended to the county board on Thursday it appoint Christina Pruser to fill the board vacancy left by the recent death of her husband Tom Pruser.
“The committeemen of District B fully support Christina Pruser to fill the vacancy on the county board in District B,” Peterson told the board. “Christy is fully aware of the responsibilities and duties of serving on the county board, she will work hard to become educated and up to speed on the issues dealing with the county board and will represent the citizens of District B fairly.”
Peterson criticized board chairman Sherrie Brown for not contacting him within the required time once there is a vacancy on the board. For the complete article see the 07-29-2014 issue.
