CLINTON — Clinton native Levi Sturgeon, on Monday, urged mayor Carolyn Peters to ease some of her requirements for people interested in serving on the hospital board. Sturgeon’s comments came during the regular meeting of the city council.
In 2013, Sturgeon contacted Peters expressing interest in serving on the hospital board. Sturgeon said that, at the time, Peters thanked him for his interest and his “passion” for the Clinton and DeWitt County but responded in the email correspondence that she wanted to try to solicit board members from the hospital’s service area.
