CLINTON — After suggesting during the August 14 county board meeting that “rumors don’t always turn out to be true,” county board chairman Sherrie Brown, on Thursday, nominated Jeff Gibbs to fill a board vacancy, just what rumors claimed would happen. But, Gibbs surprised residents at the meeting by rejecting the nomination and recommending Brown appoint Christy Pruser.
The county Republican Party and residents who attend county board meetings have for weeks been passionately urging Brown to appoint Pruser to fill the vacancy left by the death of her husband Tom Pruser.
