CLINTON—Clinton police on Saturday busted a suspected methamphetamine lab in the 300 block of East Washington Street, seizing 282 grams of suspected methamphetamine, estimated to be worth $,2000, and arresting two men.
Arrested were Russell A. Fisk, 26, of Clinton, and Jesse E. Fedie, 26, of Maroa. Both were taken to DeWitt County Jail.
According to a police news release, both were charged with aggravated possession of anhydrous ammonia with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine and aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacture.
Police, assisted by the Illinois State Police meth response team and the DeWitt County Sheriff’s Department, “located an active lab in the attic of this residence, along with 282 grams of a white chunky substance that field-tested positive” for meth and ammonia, according to a city police news release.
